Reference material OREAS 25a was sourced from an in situ layer of mature soil developed over early tertiary tholeiitic basalt in outer eastern Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Ten commercial analytical laboratories participated in the program to characterise the elements reported in Tables 1 to 6 (please download certificate). The elements listed below are only a subset of the certified values. The following methods were employed:
